Eva Levante is back again, and she’s somehow convinced the Tower to build yet another bonfire. Look, I’m not one to turn down free armor that glows brighter than my future, but after my fifth year of throwing orbs into flames, I’m starting to suspect this is all just a Vanguard-sponsored workout program. July 21 to August 11, 2026 – that’s the window. So grab your best jump boots, because we’re diving into the EAZ, the currency circus, and those weapon rolls you’ll grind until your hands cramp up.

What Is Solstice?
Every summer, Bungie throws a bash that makes the Tower look like a celestial camping trip. Solstice is a limited-time celebration where Guardians earn an ornate, gilded armor set that can be modded and rerolled to perfection. You’ll collect bizarre new currencies – Silver Leaves and Silver Ash – by running virtually any activity, then transmute them into stat-perfect gear via the Bonfire Bash. The real prize? The armor itself. With enough Kindling (a separate upgrade material), you can focus single stats so precisely that you’d swear you made a deal with a wish dragon. And yes, there are exclusive weapons too, some of which still haven’t left my vault since the 2023 iteration.

The Celebrating Solstice Quest
When you first speak to Eva (and you should, because she’s handing out a free armor set), she gives you the “Celebrating Solstice” quest. It’s a glorified tutorial, but here’s the gist:
-
Equip the full set of Solstice armor she just threw at you.
-
Launch the Bonfire Bash playlist – a 3-player matchmade activity set in the EAZ (European Aerial Zone). That place is a confusing vertical jungle of rooftops and floating islands, but you’ll learn to love it.
-
During the Bash, hunt down Ignition Carriers, take their glowing orbs, and hurl them into the central bonfire. More orbs = hotter fire = better loot conversion.
-
Complete a challenge from the Event Card (found under the Quests tab).
-
Use the Kindling you just earned to upgrade one armor piece’s fifth mod slot, then reroll its stats.

This first reroll will look pathetic – low stats, awkward distribution – but don’t panic. You improve those options by shoving more Kindling into the armor. Every Event Card challenge (except the final Flamekeeper title) awards Kindling, so you’ll be swimming in it before long.

Silver Leaves & Silver Ash: The Economy of Fire
Let me break this down because Bungie’s currency hierarchy can make your head spin faster than a Stompees Hunter.
-
Silver Leaves drop from literally any activity except Bonfire Bash. Strikes, Crucible, Gambit, patrols, public events, the seasonal battleground – you name it. Harder content gives more, but we’ll get to the perfect farm in a minute.
-
When you’ve got a nice pile of Leaves, hop into Bonfire Bash. Every orb you chuck into the fire converts your Leaves into Silver Ash. The higher you stoke the flames, the more Leaves per run you burn through.
-
Silver Ash is the currency you spend to reroll your Solstice armor pieces. Better focusing options cost more Ash and require that the armor has been upgraded with Kindling.

So the loop is: grind Leaves → run Bash to turn them into Ash → spend Ash on rerolls. It’s a little like grinding your own coffee beans except the coffee is a pair of glowing gauntlets with 30 Resilience.
Fastest Silver Leaf Farm
I’ve tested so many farms my Ghost judges me. Here’s what works in 2026.
Solo Strategy: Public Events All Day
No friends online? Head to the EDZ, Nessus, or Cosmodrome and chain Heroic public events. With a full set of Solstice armor equipped, each clear doles out 4–5 Silver Leaves. It’s mind-numbing, but a few hours of nonstop Cabal drills will fill your inventory way faster than running full Strikes. My tip: throw on a podcast, make some coffee, and accept the monotony.

Group Strategy: The First Contact Checkpoint
If you have a buddy (or an alt account), this is the king farm. Load up the “First Contact” campaign mission on Neomuna – difficulty doesn’t matter. Fight until you reach the Tormentor encounter. One player saves the checkpoint, then everyone loads in and kills the Tormentor. After the boss dies, hop in the drop pod to complete the mission, which awards a chunky 15 Silver Leaves per clear. Reload the checkpoint, swap characters as needed, repeat. This nets about a full stack in ten minutes. 💀

Armor Stat Rerolling: Bend RNG to Your Will
Now for the real magic. Every piece of Solstice armor has six mod slots. The last two are the reroll sockets. Here’s your workflow:
-
Slot 5: Spend Kindling (earned from Event Card challenges) to upgrade this slot. Each upgrade unlocks a new tier of focusing in the next socket. Fully kindle all four pieces (class items excluded) to max out your options.
-
Slot 6: Once you’ve kindled the armor, this socket lets you pick a stat to guarantee at least 20 points in that category. The better the Kindling tier, the stronger the guarantee.
-
Combine this with your Ghost Shell Armorer mod. For example, if you select Discipline in the armor and equip a Discipline Armorer Ghost mod, the piece will now have a massive spike in Discipline, with the remaining stats distributed semi-randomly. It’s the closest thing to deterministic loot we’ve ever had.

Fully kindle a piece? It gets a permanent white glow that can be turned into a universal transmog ornament – exactly like last year’s set. Subclass-colored glows are sold separately in Eververse for Bright Dust or Silver, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Event Card Challenges & Kindling

The Event Card is your ticket to Kindling. All challenges except the final Flamekeeper one grant at least one Kindling, so you’ll need to knock out most of them if you want those perfect focusing rolls. Typical tasks include:
-
Completing Bonfire Bash multiple times.
-
Generating Silver Ash.
-
Getting kills with certain weapons or abilities.
-
Visiting the EAZ, patrolling, etc.
Nothing too painful, but it’ll keep you busy for a weekend. 💪
Solstice 2026 Weapons & God Rolls

Three weapons are on the menu this year, all dropping from Bonfire Bash completions. I’ve melted thousands of leaf piles to suss out the rolls worth chasing.
🔸 Crowning Duologue (Strand Rocket Launcher)

Still the only farmable Precision Frame Strand RL (yeah, still). It rocks the Dream Work origin trait, which occasionally refills the mag after assisted kills – cute, but rarely game-changing on a heavy weapon. The perk pool remains… meh. For PvE, Auto-Loading Holster + Hatchling is about as good as it gets, letting you spawn Threadlings on kills. Demolitionist is an okay alternative if you’re chucking grenades nonstop. In PvP, Impulse Amplifier makes rockets zoom, but you’re honestly better off with a decent Grenade Launcher. Unless you’re deep into Strand monochromatic builds, I’d skip this one.
PvE God Roll
| Barrel | Magazine | Trait 1 | Trait 2 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quick Launch | Impact Casing | Auto-Loading Holster | Hatchling / Chain Reaction |
PvP God Roll

| Quick Launch | High-Velocity Rounds | Impulse Amplifier | Hatchling / Chain Reaction |
🔸 Something New (Stasis Hand Cannon)

Now we’re talking. This 120 RPM Stasis cannon returns with a refreshed perk set that’s actually, well, new. For ability monkeys, the classic Wellspring + Demolitionist wombo combo is back and as potent as ever. If you prefer watching ice shatter, go Subsistence + Headstone. PvP mains should hunt Rapid Hit + Harmony – it can two-tap Guardians with T5 Resilience when Harmony is active, and since Dream Work overflows the mag, you get extra follow-up shots. With the zoom changes we got in 2025, this thing feels crisp in the Crucible. Keep one in your vault. 🎯

PvP God Roll

🔸 Compass Rose (Solar Shotgun)

Precision Frame shotguns still rule the Crucible thanks to their tight pellet spread, and Compass Rose is one of the easiest to farm if you’re free-to-play. The PvP roll everyone craves is Quickdraw + Snapshot Sights – you’ll swap and ADS so fast opponents will accuse you of cronus mods. No Opening Shot here, but Adagio can make follow-up kills more forgiving. For PvE, Lead from Gold + Incandescent turns it into a solar ad-clearing monster, and the more niche Genesis + Cascade Point absolutely deletes shielded majors. It won’t dethrone Matador 64 for the top-tier sweats, but I’ve been slaying Iron Banner lobbies with a well-rolled Compass Rose all week.

There you have it – your complete Solstice 2026 survival guide. Now go stoke some flames, hate those EAZ rooftops, and pray to RNGesus for a 68-stat chest piece. I’ll be in the Cosmodrome, sobbing softly into a pile of Silver Leaves. 🔥
